Transcript Qi Qi Pan in their own words

Before acupuncture, what should you tell your practitioner, even if it seems unrelated? I'm Qiqi Pan at Guangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic. Tell us about medicines you're taking, any bleeding problems, skin infections, and whether you are pregnant or could be pregnant.

Please also mention any discomfort or reactions during previous acupuncture or other treatments. This information affects the safety assessment and your care plan. If you can't remember a medicine's name, bring a medication list or a photo of its packaging.

Don't stop prescribed medicines on your own to receive acupuncture. This isn't a complete checklist; we may need to ask more questions. If you're unsure whether something matters, mention it and let your practitioner assess its relevance.

The video is the practitioner's own account of their clinical view. It is not diagnosis or treatment advice, and it is not a claim about outcomes.

In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

Want to ask about your own case?

Describe it on the phone and the practitioner will say whether it is worth coming in.
